Chimes quarter-hours & strikes the hours.

These contemporary Howard Miller Anastasia Grandfather Clocks 611-278 are inspired by the Swedish Mora clocks from the late 1800s. Aged Grey finish on select hardwoods and veneers is lightly distressed and wire brushed for a natural, reclaimed wood appearance.

Aged dial with worn black Roman numerals and minute track and charcoal hands. The crown on this clock is removable, offering two distinctive looks. Hinged, top door offers easy access for winding of the clock movement.

Hinged, locking front mid door features a glass window and offers a view of the aged nickel finished weight shells and pendulum. The pendulum bob is finished in aged nickel with a wood stick that matches the case.  The pendulum is an important part of the clock and helps regulate the speed.  Similarly, the weights are also an important part and are what power the clock.  The middle weight powers the time and the pendulum.  The left weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the hour strikes.  Lastly, the right weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the quarter chimes. We've written an article on how clocks work for some more interesting information.

The dial and case are illuminated, with an easy to reach roller switch on the back. The tapered base features a decorative cutout.

Howard Miller Anastasia Grandfather Clocks showcase the German Kieninger, cable-driven, Westminster chime movement that plays 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 chimes accordingly with full chime and strike on the hour.  We've written an article on clock chimes for more interesting information and history on this wonderful chime. 

Automatic nighttime chime shut-off option, which some people love because they don't hear it chime while they sleep.  Yet other people want to hear the clock chime all of the time.  Our experience is that the clock chimes are something that you get used to and will come to enjoy.

Four floor levelers level the clock on any surface.
