Traditional Howard Miller Kinsley Grandfather Clocks 611-196 display a Golden Oak finish on select hardwoods and veneers.

Bonnet pediment features book-matched, olive ash burl overlays framed with decorative carved ornaments.

The polished brass-finished dial features a decorative open center which offers a view of the inner workings of the movement, decorative corner ornaments, a moon arch with an astrological blue moon phase, and a silver chapter ring with applied brass Arabic numerals.  Our staff loves being able to see some of the movement through the open center on the dial.

The polished brass-finished pendulum features a decorative center disk which complements the dial and weight shells.  The pendulum is an important part of the clock and helps regulate the speed.  Similarly, the weights are also an important part and are what power the clock.  The middle weight powers the time and the pendulum.  The left weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the hour strikes.  Lastly, the right weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the quarter chimes. We've written an article on how clocks work for some more interesting information.

The locking case offers reeded columns with turned top and bottom caps and a sculpted base.

Howard Miller Kinsley Grandfather Clocks showcase the German Kieninger, cable-driven, Westminster chime movement that plays 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 chimes accordingly with full chime and strike on the hour.  We've written an article on clock chimes for more interesting information and history on this wonderful chime.  

Automatic nighttime chime shut-off option, which some people love because they don't hear it chime while they sleep.  Yet other people want to hear the clock chime all of the time.  Our experience is that the clock chimes are something that you get used to and will come to enjoy.

Free brass Heirloom Nameplate will be engraved with your name and special date.  This is something you can send in for and we definitely recommend.  These grandfather clocks can become heirloom timepieces if properly taken care of and the nameplate will add to the memory for future generations.
