These curvaceous contemporary Howard Miller Diana Grandfather Clocks 611-082 feature a hinged top door framed with decorative overlays and complementing detailed removable crown.  Our staff loves the hinged top door and feel that it gives the clock more of a modern feel.

Carved leaf design accents are complemented by the heavily carved leaf design in the lower door.

The distinctive dial features a crystal-cut center disk framed by a decorative wood ring to match the cabinet, and a circular spun brass-tone chapter ring with satin black Arabic numerals.

The brass and silver-finished grid style pendulum features a crystal-cut center disk to complement the dial and is framed by a brushed brass rim. An elaborately detailed vine motif frames the pendulum.

The face of the dial is illuminated and also provides a warm glow to the interior of the cabinet, highlighting the pendulum and weight shells.  We love designs that highlight the pendulum and weights.  The pendulum is an important part of the clock and helps regulate the speed.  Similarly, the weights are also an important part and are what power the clock.  The middle weight powers the time and the pendulum.  The left weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the hour strikes.  Lastly, the right weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the quarter chimes.  We've written an article on how clocks work for some more interesting information.

The bombe' style base features an inset panel with a beautiful shell overlay gracing the cutout.

Automatic nighttime chime shut-off option, which some people love because they don't hear it chime while they sleep.  Yet other people want to hear the clock chime all of the time.  Our experience is that the clock chimes are something that you get used to and will come to enjoy.

Adjustable levelers under each corner of these grandfather clocks provide stability on uneven and carpeted floors.
