Hampton Cherry finish on select hardwoods and veneers is heavily distressed with light and deep dents for an aged appearance.  Our staff thinks this distressed look adds a great deal of charm.  

Extraordinarily detailed Howard Miller Reagan Grandfather Clock 610-999 with bookmatched olive ash burl gracing the front and sides of the unique swan neck pediment, and a carved urn finial and finial support add the finishing touches.

The elaborate dial includes raised brass Arabic numerals, cast center and corner ornaments, and a moon phase with exclusive Presidential Collection hemispheres.  These two features are nice additional touches the manufacturer included for this clock.

A cast center disk on the polished-brass pendulum mirrors the dial, and polished brass weight shells with decorative bands complete the picture.  The pendulum is an important part of the clock and helps regulate the speed.  Similarly, the weights are also an important part and are what power the clock.  The middle weight powers the time and the pendulum.  The left weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the hour strikes.  Lastly, the right weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the quarter chimes.  We've written an article on how clocks work for some more interesting information.

Canted columns with large reeds and intricately carved caps frame the beveled glass doors.

Additional flourishes include a carved molding below the dial and carved floral overlays framing the locking lower door.  We love double doors on grandfather clocks.

Attention to detail continues on the multi-tiered base, where you′ll find canted corners, olive ash burl, wrap-around carved moldings, and uniquely elegant carved feet.  We think the carved feet are such a classy touch.

The beveled glass doors on the upper sides offer easy access to the movement and storage of the hand crank and door key.  It is so nice to have easy access to the movement for maintenance.

Automatic nighttime chime shut-off option.  Some people love this feature so they don't hear it chime while they sleep.  Yet other people want to hear the clock chime all of the time.  Our experience is that the clock chimes are something that you get used to and will come to enjoy.

Adjustable levelers under each corner of these grandfather clocks provide stability on uneven and carpeted floors.
