Traditional Howard Miller Winterhalder II grandfather clocks 611-188 display a Windsor Cherry finish on select hardwoods and veneers.

Bonnet pediment features book-matched, crotch figured mahogany overlays.

The polished brass-finished dial features an open center which offers a view of the inner workings of the movement, elaborate center and corner ornaments, a moon arch with an astrological blue moon phase with a pierced star pattern, and a silver chapter ring with applied brass Arabic numerals.  Our staff loves the open center of the dial because it is so interesting seeing a part of the clock movement.

Polished brass finished pendulum and weights features a decorative center disk and weight shell bands which complement the dial. The pendulum is an important part of the clock and helps regulate the speed.  Similarly, the weights are also an important part and are what power the clock.  The middle weight powers the time and the pendulum.  The left weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the hour strikes.  Lastly, the right weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the quarter chimes. We've written an article on how clocks work for some more interesting information. 

Beveled glass is featured on the front lower door and sides.

Automatic nighttime chime shut-off option, which some people love because they don't hear it chime while they sleep.  Yet other people want to hear the clock chime all of the time.  Our experience is that the clock chimes are something that you get used to and will come to enjoy.
