Howard Miller Jennison Key-Wound Wall Clocks 612-221 are finished in Vintage Mahogany on select hardwoods and veneers. An individually carved, scalloped shell on the pediment is designed similar to a John Goddard original.

The highly polished Viennese dial is overlaid with individual convex chapter rings and center disc with an enameled finish. The front-opening door offers beveled glass.  Such accents complete the look of these classy chiming wall clocks.

A polished brass-finished lyre pendulum swings by a beat plate.  The pendulum is an important part of a mechanical clock and helps regulate the speed.

These mechanical wall clocks are wound with a provided key once a week.  The middle winding arbor winds a spring that powers the time function.  The right winding arbor (as you face the clock) winds the spring that powers the quarter-chime function.  Lastly, the left winding arbor winds the spring that powers the hour strikes.  We've written an article on how clocks work for some more interesting information.
