Traditional Howard Miller Gavin grandfather clocks 610-985 feature an arched bonnet pediment highlighted by a decorative shell and vine overlay.  Finished in Oak Yorkshire on select hardwoods and veneers.

The polished brass finished dial offers elaborate corner spandrels, a center disk with an astrological blue moon phase, and a silver chapter ring with applied brass Arabic numerals.

A glass mirrored back highlights the polished brass finished pendulum with a decorative center disk and polished brass finished weight shells.  Our staff loves designs that highlight the pendulum and weights.  The pendulum is an important part of the clock and helps regulate the speed.  Similarly, the weights are also an important part and are what power the clock.  The middle weight powers the time and the pendulum.  The left weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the hour strikes.  Lastly, the right weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the quarter chimes. We've written an article on how clocks work for some more interesting information.

Reeded columns with turned top and bottom caps add an elegant touch, and the decorative cut-out on the sculpted base completes the picture.

Beveled glass gleams on the locking lower door, while removable glass upper side panels allow easy access to the movement.  Our staff loves double-door designs, and we love having easy access to the movement because it is helpful for maintenance.
