Traditional Howard Miller Benjamin grandfather clocks 610-983 features a delicately curved swan neck pediment which is crowned by a turned finial and decorative shell overlay.  Finished in Windsor Cherry on select hardwoods and veneers.

The polished brass finished dial offers elaborate corner spandrels, a center disk with an astrological blue moon phase, and a silver chapter ring with applied brass Arabic numerals.

The glass mirrored back highlights the polished brass finished pendulum, with its decorative center disk, and the polished brass-finished weight shells.  Our staff loves designs that highlight the pendulum and weights.  The pendulum is an important part of the clock and helps regulate the speed.  Similarly, the weights are also an important part and are what power the clock.  The middle weight powers the time and the pendulum.  The left weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the hour strikes.  Lastly, the right weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the quarter chimes. We've written an article on how clocks work for some more interesting information.

The door is framed by reeded columns with turned top and bottom caps, and the elegantly sculpted base features a decorative cut-out.

Beveled glass gleams on the locking lower door, while removable glass upper side panels allow easy access to the movement.  Our staff loves double-door designs, and we love having easy access to the movement because it is helpful for maintenance.
