Hampton Cherry finish on select hardwoods and veneers is lightly distressed for an aged appearance.  Our staff loves the aged appearance because of the character it presents.

The swan-neck pediment with carved rosettes features book-matched olive ash burl, a decorative shell overlay, and a turned finial.  The pediment is the top part of the case, and our staff loves the swan-neck because it is a classy accent.

The case also features reeded columns with carved Acanthus upper column caps, lower trim molding between lower column caps, and a sculpted door midrail with shell and vine overlay.

The brushed nickel finished dial features corner and center ornaments, a silver chapter ring with applied Arabic numerals, and an astrological blue moon phase.   Our staff love moon dials on grandfather clocks because they add a functional accent.

Brushed nickel-finished pendulum with a complementing center disk and brushed nickel-finished weight shells.  The pendulum is an important part of the clock and helps regulate the speed.  Similarly, the weights are also an important part and are what power the clock.  The middle weight powers the time and the pendulum.  The left weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the hour strikes.  Lastly, the right weight (as you're facing the clock) powers the quarter chimes. We've written an article on how clocks work for some more interesting information. 

Beveled glass on lower door, sides, and removable top side glass panels which offer easy access to the movement.  Our staff loves having easy access to the movement because it is helpful for maintenance.  Locking front door.
